FOUNOUN Adnane

Mr. Adnane FOUNOUN, is a member of the IEEE, member of the Casablanca IEEE Core Smart City project. Sustainable Development Auditor. It provides technical assistance for several projects related to the labeling and assembly of fundraising files (UNDP, AFD, etc.). Currently member of several R&D projects in the fields of smart cities (CNRST, AFD, ASTON, etc.) Adnane FOUNOUN is an expert in sustainable development and a lead auditor having performed more than 500 audit missions focused on Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality in more than 25 countries in Africa.  He has been gathering an exciting experience as a student researcher in smart cities and sustainability, a field through which he has been conducting several trainings and has been publishing many scientific papers in indexed journals about the issues faced in the same field.      Furthermore, Adnane plays an important role in the dissemination of the smart city concept in Africa throughout several initiatives and funds as an instance (IEEE Smart Cities Casablanca, Aston Project (City of Benguerir), Smart Cities 2022 Ambassador). In 2021, he has been appointed as a head of missions  for the Province of Berkane reporting to the Governor and  Provincial councilor. This mission consists to put in place mechanisms for territorial innovation and citizen listening (Linving-Lab, Fab-Lab, etc.) as well as to link up  with donors and international institutions (UN-Habitat, AFD, UCLG, etc.) Adnane Founoun joined the African Innovation Network initiative as a member of the Executive Board, an initiative that currently spans over 5 countries in Africa and aims to build a network of young decision-makers aware of the continent's future issues and paving the way for disseminating the sustainability and smart cities concept to the local and international decision-makers.
